Judita Preiss

I am a member of Sheffield University's Natural Language Processing group and am also currently working at the Advanced Computing Research Center. This follows my work on the following Sheffield based projects on

  • A DSTL project on Information Processing and Sensemaking: Exploratory Search for Document Collections..
  • The EPRSC funded grant on Knowledge Discovery.
  • The EU funded project ACCURAT concerned with improving performance of MT using automatically ascquired comparable corpora.
  • The Google funded project distinguishing common from proper nouns.

I completed a PhD on Probabilistic Word Sense disambiguation at Cambridge under Ted Briscoe, and subsequently worked on an EPSRC funded project on subcategorization acquisition with Ted Briscoe and Anna Korhonen.

Between 2008 and 2010, I was a Visiting Professor at the Ohio State University.
