Lucy Moffatt

I am Research Administrator for the Natural Language Processing group within the Department of Computer Science at The University of Sheffield where I have been employed since 2000, firstly as a Research Secretary and for the last 6 years in my current role.

Currently, I coordinate the 7th Framework collaborative EC project ARCOMEM, which has a funding amount of € 6m with 12 partners. I am also administrative coordinator on the 7th Framework collaborative EC project PATHS, which has a funding amount of € 2m with 6 partners, both projects have both national and international partners.

I am currently responsible for monitoring, reporting and accounting on another 5 FP7 projects in a partner capacity worth approximately € 4m+ as well as around £ 1.6m in currently funded UK grants. Current UK funders include: Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), Arts and Humanities Research Board (AHRB), Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) and Royal Society. Previously I have also managed awards from Department of Trade & Industry (DTI), Environment Agency (EA), Government and Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), Medical Research Council (MRC) and Technology Strategy Board (TSB).

Previously, I was the administrative coordinator on the recently completed (Nov'06-Oct'10) FP6 Integrated Project, COMPANIONS which was funded by the EC to the amount of € 10m+ and consisted of 15 partners. I also administered another FP6 Integrated Project X-MEDIA which had a funding amount of € 9m+ (Mar'06-Feb'10). Another successfully completed FP6 STREP project (Mar'06-Feb'09) was the TAO project which had 7 partners and funding amount of € 6m+.
