Autumn Semester Assessment

COM1003 is taught over two semesters. This page only covers the assessment for the first semester. Each semester is worth 50% of the overall mark for COM1003.

The Quizzes

There will be three Blackboard quizzes.  They are, to a limited extent, open book and will each consist of 8 short questions for which will get 20 minutes.  The rules about material you are allowed to use for reference during the quiz are in the "Quizzes" section on Blackboard.

The three quizzes are each worth 16% of your 1st semester mark so 8% of your overall module mark. The feedback and marks will be available on Blackboard within 72 hours of the close of the test window but not immediately after the quiz. Students with disabilities who get extra time in examinations will get extra time for the quiz as long as I know about them you can check this in the "Quizzes" section on Blackboard. too.
