Discourse Interpreter:

translates the semantic representation produced by the parser into a representation of instances, their ontological classes and their attributes, in the XI knowledge representation language (see [12]). XI allows a straightforward definition of cross-classification hierarchies, the association of arbitrary attributes with classes or instances, and a simple mechanism to inherit attributes from classes or instances higher in the hierarchy.

The module produces the MUC-6 Template Element and Scenario Template results by reading and formatting the required information from the final discourse model.
