| RESPITE: The CASA Toolkit Page: Documentation: Block Library Index:Erf |
Erf first normalises the input according to the parameters MEAN and VARIANCE using:
X = (in1 - MEAN) / VARIANCEand then passes normalised input through the error function of the form:
out1 = 2/sqrt(pi) * integral from 0 to X of exp(-t^2) dt
MEAN and VARIANCE can either be specified as constants by setting the block's parameters, or as time varying signals fed to the block's optional inputs in2 and in3 for the MEAN and VARIANCE respectively.
| Inputs | Meaning | Sample | 1-D frame | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| in1 | signal | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| (in2) | dynamic MEAN parameter | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| (in3) | dynamic VARIANCE parameter | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Outputs | Meaning |
|---|---|
| out1 | input after passing through error function |
| Parameters | Type | Default | Meaning |
|---|---|---|---|
| MEAN | Float | - | mean (for normalisation) |
| VARIANCE | Float | - | variance (for normalisation) |
