Hello world! Nice to meet you!
I am currently a PhD research student at the University of Sheffield working in the field of Automatic Speech Recognition for Code-Switching.
I have came a long way to finally end up in the Department of Computer Science: from Bachelors' in Linguistics, to Masters' in Mathematics, to now PhD in Computer Science. However, one thing in my life has remained consistent: my passion for sound.
I always liked everything related to sound, since childhood I was a music lover, in Bachelors' I was ecstatic to learn about phonetics of the language and especially the speaker-centric approach towards analysing the phonetics of the language. I remember teaching myself as a part of my Bachelors' course work the foundations of Signal Processing to understand formants and how they may be influenced by different factors.
