• The sphear board is

• The sphear steering committee has the same 7 members
• Two non-executive directors are to be asked to join the board. Philip Lockwood of Matra has already agreed. Phil Green is contacting a second person from the Hearing Aid community.
• Phil Green was confirmed as SPHEAR coordinator and chair of the board and steering committee

Actions following the workshop

• For travel to conferences outside Europe - there is a form in the cost guidelines - requests must be channelled through phil. NB conference fees can be paid anyway.
• For active tasks,
• identify a task manager
• create a web site. Tell phil where it is.
• arrange a task meeting every 3 months.
• For placements, identify a superviser and adviser (from another lab)
• The next workshop will be in or near Patras, April 99.
• Phil has created a separate e-mail list for the steering committee (sphear-steer@dcs.shef.ac.uk)
