About Me

Hello, I am Aaron Fletcher, a CDT student in Speech and Language Technology at the University of Sheffield.

I come from a very different background to most, as my interest in natural language processing stems from being a practising Veterinarian for ten years! Having seen first-hand how technology can improve welfare on a large scale, I undertook a Master's in Artificial Intelligence, which I enjoyed so much it led me to the fifth cohort of the Speech and Language Technologies CDT in Sheffield.

I am from Lancashire, in the United Kingdom, and I have a grumpy cat called Oscar! I enjoy board games, science fiction and horror films in my spare time.
